Artist Bio
Leanne Heading is an Adelaide artist who is passionate about her work. Adelaide born, she specialises in line drawing and water colour painting. Her use of strong vibrant colours, combined with her skills in perspective drawing, allows her to illustrate buildings and streetscapes in a unique way.

I have over 50 paintings in my Impressions of Adelaide collection. This collection has a strong impressionist style. I started painting these in around 2005, when my children were young.
In 2017, I started a new collection called Adelaide in Ink. This a return to my roots, having a stronger emphasis on illustration.
I have covered many areas around our beautiful state from McLaren Vale in the south, to the Barossa in the north, and up to Hahndorf in the hills and everywhere in between.

“So….I have all these paintings…..what to do with them… ???” – Leanne
I decided a few years ago, rather than to sell my original works, i would try my hand at publishing them. I had already started to sell some full size prints, and decided to have my more popular paintings reproduced in greeting card form.
I then hit the road to see if any gift and book shops might be interested in selling them.
To my surprise many of them placed orders immediately ! I am so very thankful for their support.
I was also lucky enough to have an agent in the early days, from whom I learned a lot about how the industry works.
Over the years I have increased my offerings, publishing a calendar each year, a diary, and a recipe journal.
In 2020 I have released a Journal featuring paintings of Adelaide and quotes taken from Adelaide bus and train tickets back in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
I have now diversified into to selling my works in person at the Stirling Markets , and online….and am happy to sell my originals.
I have really enjoyed the opportunity to meet the people who appreciate my work. I love to hear stories of where they have seen my calendar and cards, and what places around the globe they have posted them as gifts to friends and family members.
